CCMT 2015 for M.Tech Admission in NITs

Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./ M.Plan. (CCMT-2015) is an admission process for providing a convenient platform for the students to apply for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. programmes, based on their GATE score of year 2014 or 2015, in various NITs across the country and some Centrally Funded Technical Institutions such as ABV-IIITM Gwalior, IIITDM Jabalpur, IIIT Allahabad, National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology Ranchi, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology Longowal, SPA Vijayawada, and Central University of Rajasthan. This centralized system has replaced the older system, in which a student had to apply to various institutes and then visit these institutes individually to appear for interview/counselling. This system used to cause lot of difficulties to students such as multiple applications, travelling long distances to various institutes across the country for their respective admission process and missing some institutes due to common admission dates. Centralized counselling provided a system wherein the students can fill one online application from their homes and apply to all the programmes of all participating institutions to which they were eligible. Overall convenience of students has increased enormously due to centralized counselling and simplified their efforts tremendously.

CCMT Organizing NIT :

CCMT was successfully organized by MNIT Jaipur for twenty six participating Institutes in 2013 and twenty participating NITs in 2012. And in 2014 also organized by MNIT Jaipur with seven more participating Institutes namely SPA Vijayawada, IIIT Allahabad, Central University of Rajasthan, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Goa, NIT Puducherry, and NIT Nagaland.

Important steps of CCMT-2015 : 

1. Notification realised by NIT Official in about very first week of April 2015.
2. Student have to we register on CCMT-2015 official website. www.ccmt.in (Still not activated.)
3. After registration First round of counselling will start. Student have to fill choice through CCMT-2015 website.
4. After first round counselling will be followed by round-2,round-3,round-4 … to fill the vacant seats in each round.
5. If Still there are some seats left vacant the NIT,IIIT or other participating Institutes can call a separate Spot round Counselling for Admission.

Eligibility for CCMT-2015 : GATE 2014 or GATE-2105 qualified students are eligible.

Important Dates (Tentative Schedule-2015) :

1. First Advertisement : First week of April.
2. Detailed Advertisement : Second Week of April.
3. Availability of CCMT 2014 website : Second Week of April.
4. Availability of online application : Second Week of April
5. Last date of generation of E-Challan :Second Week of May.
6. Last date of online registration and fee payment if done by E-Challan : Second Week of May.
7. Last date of online registration and online fee payment: Third Week of May.
8. Closing date of online choice filling : Fourth Week of May.
9. Automatic locking of choices: Fourth Week of May.
10. 1st Round of allotment : 2nd week of June.
11. Reporting to any reporting centre after 1st round of allotment : 2nd week of June.
12. 2nd Round of allotment : 3rd week of june.
13. Reporting to any reporting centre after 2nd round of allotment : 3rd week of June.
14. 3rd Round of allotment : 4th week of june.
15. Physical Reporting to allotted Institute by all allottee (1st, 2nd & 3rd round) : Last week of june.
16. Surrender of seat at any reporting centre (any allottee) : 1st week of july.
17. Vacancy declaration: First week of july.
18. Choice modification: 2nd week of july.
19. 4th Round of allotment : 2nd week of july.
20. 20 Physical Reporting to allotted Institute : 3rd Week of july.
21. Withdrawal : 3rd Week of july.
22. Classes start As per the Institute Schedule.
23. Vacancy declaration : 3rd Week of july.
24. Institute Spot (will be managed by the respective institutes) : 4th week of july.
