The University Grants Commission (UGC) given a New Year gift to students as 55 percent of all funds increase in the fellowships and scholarships. It contains 15 kinds of fellowship and scholarship. This increase will be affected from December.
After the constant demand of the students in the UGC fellowship and scholarship committee of experts constituted had increased. November 17 meeting of the committee, it was decided to increase to 55 percent. The Commission increased from 20 thousand to 31 thousand rupees IMRTS amount of fellowship per month. Women (not in employment) and two years of the post-doctoral fellowship of Rs. 25 thousand to Rs. 30 thousand & Rs. 38 800 has been increased from Rs 46,500.
Social sciences, humanities research in DR. S. Radhakrishnan Single Girl Child Scholarship just 25 thousand in the first year, second year and third year, 26 thousand & 27 thousand bucks, increased respectively to 38 800, 40 300 and 41 900 rupees.
Now GATE-GPAT qualified ME, M.Tech, M. Pharm students will receive Rs 12,400 scholarships. Just getting eight thousand rupees per month.

Sunil it will directly credited to your account if your college have filled the detail of you on the aicte portal through college login. please contact your college to confirm that whether they filled or not?
Is it the responsibility of the student or the college to submit the document to UGC for the hike in stipend.
We already have submitted the required documents to the college.
@ Hardik …It will be processed by the college on behalf of UGC…. As per current information students need not to do any thing.. please wait for the budget 2015 after that it will be processed soon.

From when we are supposed to get this increased scholarship? It is said to be effective from Dec 1, 2014. Still we are getting 8000/per month only.
Priyanka this will be effective from December 2014. But may be some delay from MHRD to release of fund. Whenever the fund will released the balanced from dec 2014 will be cleared. [Information is based on the media reports.]
