GATE 2019 is being conducted by IIT Madras. Before this GATE 2011 was conducted by IIT Madras. As it is expected by students that IIT Madras paper setting pattern & quality of GATE paper will depend on the organizing institutes i.e. IIT Madras GATE previous year papers. Actually, the GATE paper pattern doesn’t depend only on the organizing institute. As per the process, the organizing committee requests different paper sets from different IITs that are: IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi & IISc Bangalore. After collecting the different set of papers a common paper is set. It’s neither a paper from a single professor nor form a single institute. The reality is that the organizing institute will only be moderated the paper setting process.
