Notification for the recruitment of IOCL-Graduate Engineers through GATE-2018 has been out. Online applications  will be available from January 5, 2018 till February 4, 2018. IOCL hiring through GATE score :

Aspiring candidates will be recruited at IOCL as Graduate Engineer and Officers based on their GATE 2018 scores.  Indian Oil will use GATE 2018 score for short listing the candidates, who have applied to Indian Oil. Further selection process will comprise of GD/GT and personal interview. Indian Oil will obtain GATE-2018 scores directly from the Office of Chairman, GATE-2018. Only those candidates, who have appeared in GATE-2018 in the relevant disciplines and also applied in IOCL would be considered for further selection process in IOCL.

In order to apply and fill the application form for IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2018, You have to apply to with GATE-2018 registration number.Otherwise Indian Oil will not be able to retrieve your GATE score.

Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2018

 

Citizenship: The candidates must be Indian Citizens

Branches: Candidate should have graduated in disciplines like Civil, Computer Science & Information Technology, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics & Communications, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Metallurgical Engineering.

For M.Tech candidates

Candidates pursuing their M.Tech are also eligible to apply, however, their graduation should be in the specified disciplines only. They are also required to apply and qualify in GATE 2018 in the specified GATE paper for each discipline.

For Integrated ME/ M.Tech candidates

  • Such candidates are also eligible to apply given they have completed or are completing the course requirement for BE/ B.Tech in one of the core disciplines advertised and have completed (or are completing ME/M.Tech by August, 2018).
  • During the time of selection and interview, the candidates must possess and produce both BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech degrees.

Who’s not Eligible?

 

Candidates having completed or who are pursuing their graduation in combined/integrated disciplines/inter-disciplinary subjects like Mechatronics/Robotics etc will not be considered eligible.

2Pass PercentageGeneral and OBC (NCL) category candidates must have a secured at least 65% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination, whereas for SC/ST and PwD candidates the eligibility is minimum 55% aggregate marks.

Application Fee for IOCL Graduate Engineers through GATE-2018 :

There is no separate application fee for IOCL . Candidates only require to pay the requisite fee for appearing in GATE-2018.

How to fill IOCL Recruitment Application Form 2018?

Check all the details below for step by step procedure of how to apply or how to fill the application form of IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2018.

Stage 1: Registration 

Enter the following details and register yourself,

  • Discipline applying for

  • Date of Birth

Stage 2: Fill Application Form of IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2018

  • At this stage, enter your personal, academic and details related to address
  • Candidates can apply for IOCL recruitment 2018 only after downloading their GATE 2018 admit card and using the GATE 2018 registration number (which will be available only on the admit card of GATE 2018). They have to log in using your email ID and GATE registration number 2018 for completing the application process.
  • Be careful in entering the correct GATE 2018 registration number and the exact name as used during GATE registration.
  • Tick the appropriate boxes for other information wherever applicable.
  • Finally, click on Submit button for application submission. After the application submission, a unique IOCL application ID/number is generated along with the submitted application form. Candidates must note this IOCL application number/ID and keep it safe. This application number may be required during the interview process.
  • Further, candidates must download the IOCL Recruitment 2018 application form and take print out of the same. The printout of the filled in IOCL application form must be kept safe. Candidates must affix a passport photograph (identical to one used in GATE 2018) on the printed application form and put the signature on the designated place. This printout of the application form may be used for cross-checking the identity of the candidate if he/she is selected and called for GD/GT and Interview.

Selection Process of IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2018

  • Candidates are required to appear in GATE 2018 in the respective discipline.
  • Candidates are selected based on valid GATE 2018 scores for appearing in GD/GT and Interview.
  • Shortlisted candidates are required to participate in Group Discussion (GD), Group Task (GT) and Personal interview (PI) for assessment of different facets of knowledge, skill, attitude and aptitude in case and thus the recruitment will be done.
  • The final merit will be prepared discipline-wise. In order to be considered for the merit list, the candidates are required to secure minimum 40% marks in GD/GT and PI.

Service Bond: General category candidates have to execute a bond of Rs.3,00,000, while SC/ST/OBC & PWD candidates must execute a bond of Rs.50000 to serve IOCL for a minimum period of 3 years from the date of their joining.

Pay Scale: The Cost to Company (CTC) is Rs.12 Lakh per annum, which is inclusive of performance related pay (PRP).
